    INPEX Ichthys Operations Industry Dinner

Presented by Conor Walker, Director of Operations

A laser focus on safe and reliable operations at the INPEX-led Ichthys LNG Project

The INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG Project is more than your average gas project. Conor Walker, INPEX Director of Operations, will provide an overview of this massive and complex Project, outlining how the closely integrated onshore and offshore facilities are simultaneously being developed and commissioned.

With a special focus on the operations aspects of the Project at Bladin Point, Conor will provide an update as to the Project’s status; he’ll outline what the key priorities are now and into the foreseeable future; and he’ll map out what’s required to bring all the facilities online safely and reliably, in readiness for first gas in 2018.I

The Ichthys LNG Project is currently in construction and is ranked among the most significant oil and gas projects in the world. The Ichthys LNG Project is a Joint Venture between INPEX group companies (the Operator), major partner Total, CPC Corporation Taiwan and the Australian subsidiaries of Tokyo Gas, Osaka Gas, Kansai Electric Power, JERA and Toho Gas.

Tickets include 2 course dinner, beer, wine and soft drinks

ERGT Australia provides a professional, engaging and safe training service using simulated environments to develop skills and behaviours that address safety-critical industry needs. With training centres located in WA, Vic and now the NT, ERGT is well positioned to service the Oil & Gas sector as well as other high risk industries.

Having worked closely with our colleagues from Darwin-based Accrete for many years, in 2016 we took over their East Arm training centre to directly serve our Oil & Gas and Defence clients. At this centre we offer safety, offshore survival and emergency response programs. We are also finalising plans with Charles Darwin University to establish a state of the art fire and emergency response training facility at CDU’s Casuarina Campus.

The Australian Oil & Gas industry is leading the world in safety training initiatives and ERGT is committed to helping ensure that these programs are successful in further improving safety performance.
